This advanced course is designed for pelvic therapists who have completed Level 1 Pelvic Examination and Bladder Control training. It delves into the specialized area of male pelvic health, providing a comprehensive understanding of male patients' unique challenges and treatment strategies.
Course Highlights:
Urinary Conditions: Explore common urinary issues such as weak stream, post-micturition dribble (related to benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH), and post-prostatectomy incontinence.
Prostate Health: Gain insights into prostate function, prostate cancer screening (including prostate-specific antigen testing and Gleason scores), and pre-and post-surgical interventions for prostate conditions. Stay updated on the latest recommendations in medical screening.
Chronic Pelvic Pain: Learn about male pelvic pain conditions, including prostatitis, testicular and scrotal pain, penile pain, and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.
Sexual Health: Understand the link between pelvic muscle dysfunction and sexual dysfunction in men. Explore erectile dysfunction, hard flaccid syndrome, and Peyronie's Disease, along with their treatment guidelines.
Hands-On Learning:
This live course features a combination of lectures and hands-on lab sessions. You'll have the opportunity to practice essential skills using simulators and live video demonstrations, including:
External and internal muscle palpation
